Nepal-America Society for Oppressed (NASO) Community to hold a meeting
Nepal-America Society for Oppressed (NASO) Community is holding a meeting of its members and friends in Washington DC area. The meeting is slated on Saturday February 17 for discussing various issues related to oppressed community in Nepal.
The tentative agenda for the meeting circulated among its members covers highlights of the organization’s accomplishments, analysis of current situation of oppressed community in Nepal and its movement directions, challenges and opportunities for oppressed community ahead, and three breakout sessions on the topics related to development of its strategy and plan of action as the following:
(a) Role to be played by NASO Community to support and complement the oppressed community’s movement in Nepal to bring a positive change;
(b) Assistance/support to be provided by NASO Community to those from oppressed community visiting/living in the US and Canada; and
(c) A plan to make NASO Community an effective and responsible organization to represent the oppressed community of Nepal at the international level.
The day long meeting is expected to pave the way for a North American convention for Nepalese oppressed community.
