Kathmandu, September 4- Mr. Ram Sharan Darnal, a legendary national musicologist from Dalit community of Nepal has been awarded a prestigious award of Jagadamba Shree by the Madan Puruskar Guthi. Mr. Darnal had served as academician at the Nepal Academy, a premier academic institution of art, language and literature in the country. The prize carries a purse of Rs 200,000.
